Legacy Tower Videos
As part of our mission to provide the best care possible for our patients, we built Legacy Tower, a new, modern building that allows us to continue providing critical, lifesaving care for the patients who need us the most. The Heart Center’s new home in Legacy Tower encompasses eight floors dedicated exclusively to cardiac care including, an outpatient clinic, four cardiac catheterization labs including a dedicated MRI scanner, four cardiovascular operating rooms, a 48-bed cardiovascular ICU and 42 cardiology acute care beds.
Four time lapse camera's captured the building of Legacy Tower. With some additional footage from the ground to the roof this is what I captured from December 11, 2015 to this year.
In preparation for the Phase One opening of Texas Children's Legacy Tower on May 22, multidisciplinary teams conducted a series of simulations in the PICU and OR/MRI to test workflow processes in the new spaces of the tower.
Since the topping out celebration of Texas Children's Legacy Tower in February 2017, significant construction milestones have been reached inside the tower's 400-foot-tall structure. The Legacy Tower will promote the safest possible environment to care for our hospital's most critically ill patients and their families.
